Michael Keel found his interest in photography at a young age through his father's profession as an archeologist. He accompanied his father to the excavation sites where the artifacts were photographed. At the age of 12 he joined in shooting, developing and printing his own pictures. While attending Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, he landed his first photography job, working in the campus studio. New York City was Michael Keel's destination in his early twenties. Upon his arrival he worked as a photo assistant. Two years later he opened his own studio. He started out shooting portraits, expanding his business to include fashion and commercial advertising, architectural and interior design photography and weddings. Michael Keel has been acknowledged for his artistic approach to portraiture in an exhibition at the Bond Street Gallery. He recently appeared in the television show Inside Edition, shooting a calendar for Valentines Day where he was hailed as "One of New York's Top Photographers."
